Driver shot by police during alleged car break-in arrests in Wayne County
Police in Wayne County attempted to apprehend suspects involved in car break-ins at a Citgo gas station, leading to a chaotic confrontation. During the incident, an officer was knocked down and another officer shot a suspect as the SUV attempted to flee, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries for the driver and hospitalization for the officer. The suspects led police on a chase before being stopped in Southwest Detroit. The Michigan State Police are now investigating the shooting, with no charges announced yet.
