Warm start with chilly changes coming

Winds to pick up and bringing in a big change today

DETROIT – It's a warm start for some with temps around Metro Detroit in the 50s and you can expect a little bit of fog and drizzle through the early morning hours.

But, the winds will be picking up and bringing in a big change today.

Cold air will be slowly pouring in today dropping our temps into the 40s at noon and into the 30s through the afternoon and evening. Winds WSW 10-20 mph.

The brief warm up comes to a halt as we finish out the work and school week.

There's a dangerous storm south of our border with Ohio and will bring ice and snow through the Ohio Valley Friday.

We may get a glancing blow from it with some light snow early Friday mainly south of I-94.

But it turns cold Friday with 20s and 30s and cooler wind chills.

Get ready for a chilly weekend and a chance of measureable snow by Monday morning.
