More storms possible as temperatures rise for Metro Detroit
Showers likely around 5 p.m.
DETROIT – Some blue skies should help temperatures warm up into the 80s Tuesday afternoon with winds southwest at 7-17 mph. We are tracking rain on radar moving through parts of western Michigan, but the wet weather should hold off until later for Metro Detroit.
A few popup showers are possible through this afternoon, but are more likely to come around 5 p.m. and later. We have a few more chances for periods of heavier rain over the next three days, so check the basement and prepare for some flooding.
Rain showers may linger around through the early morning Wednesday, exiting the area by about 5 or 6 a.m. Most of Wednesday will be dry and a bit cooler. Highs will likely stick in the 60s instead of the 80s. We will be watching heavy rain coming at us again in the early evening hours. Be prepared for a wet evening Wednesday.
Temperatures will drop into the upper 50s Thursday, which will feel noticeably cooler after the warm weather early in the week. Steady midday rain showers will be the last of this round of heavy rains, but could also trigger some minor flooding around area's streams and rivers.
