Clouds are spreading into SE Lower Michigan, but the rain is struggling to move in this morning.
Showers near the Ohio Border this morning will stay and then fade in our South Zone. Temps in the 50s as you head out with areas north of M-59 seeing cooler 40s early with fewer clouds. These clouds and showers are the remnants of Irma, and it looks like our best chance for showers around Metro Detroit will be early evening and tonight. A few spotty showers during the day with highs in the low and mid 70s under mostly cloudy skies.
Thursday forecast
Showers will be trending just to our east Thursday morning, but we’ll keep an eye on radar as parts of Metro Detroit may wake up with a few showers -- especially east siders. Thursday highs will be impacted by the clouds clearing which may not happen until mid afternoon, and so it looks like mid 70s again tomorrow. If we get a nice mix of sun and clouds, we’ll see slightly warmer weather.
Friday and weekend forecast
We could always use a little rain, but great news for your outdoor plans heading into the weekend -- we are flirting with 80 degrees Friday through Sunday. We’ll have plenty of sunshine Friday with highs from the mid 70s to 80 degrees, and low 80s possible both Saturday and Sunday. Clouds roll in fast late Sunday bringing a few showers and storms by dinner time.
