Temperatures are staying below average in Metro Detroit, but it comes with periods of sunshine.
After breaks in the clouds during the day, Sunday night will be back to mostly cloudy in Southeast Michigan. Expect lows in the mid- to upper-40s in most of the region. The milder temperatures will be near Adrian, Dearborn, Taylor, Detroit, Warren and St. Clair Shores. The air will be cooler in Brighton, Auburn Hills, Almont, Armada and Port Huron. Winds will be out of the north and northwest at 5 to 10 mph.
Monday
While Monday will begin with mostly cloudy skies, clouds will decrease during the morning. Expect plenty of sunshine in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid-60s, which is a few degrees below average. Winds out of the north-northeast will be 5 to 10 mph.
Under partly cloudy skies, lows will be in the lower- to mid-40s in Monroe, Livonia, Ferndale, Roseville and Harper Woods. The Thumb has a chance of temperatures dropping into the mid-30s.
This cool weather pattern will persist through the week.
Rain showers set to make an entrance
Starting Tuesday afternoon and continuing into the evening, people will need to be prepared for rain. The chance of rain showers will continue into Saturday.
During this stretch, highs will be in the upper-50s to mid-60s. Lows will be in the 40s. By Sunday, temperatures will be near 70 degrees in some communities.
