Warm and pleasant weekend weather takes center stage
If you are enjoying high school football Friday night, college football Saturday or making plans for the Lions game on Sunday, you will have a stretch of incredibly nice weather across Metro Detroit.
Friday night’s weather will be ideal for sitting in the yard or around a campfire, but be mindful that the ground is dry. Under mostly clear skies, following evening temperatures in the 70s and 60s, overnight lows will fall to the mid-50s. The wind will be calm.
This Weekend
The warmth sticks around Southeast Michigan, but the sunshine could be interrupted on Saturday. With partly to mostly cloudy skies, an isolated shower is possible in the afternoon and evening. The best chance of a few raindrops will be on the west side of Southeast Michigan, such as Ann Arbor and Howell. Most spots are expected to remain dry,
Highs are forecast to reach the lower-80s on Saturday afternoon. Lows will be in the mid-50s.
Under partly cloudy skies, highs will be in the lower- to mid-80s on Sunday. Lows will be in the mid-50s to 60 degrees over the weekend, which is near normal.
Looking ahead to Sunday, fans are likely to enjoy some great tailgating weather. Under partly cloudy skies, expect temperatures in the mid-60s by 10 a.m., warming up to the upper-70s by the 1 p.m. kickoff, and reaching the lower- to mid-80s as the game rolls on. Lows will be in the mid-50s.
Whether you are prepping the grill or heading out to the cider mill, the weekend forecast offers agreeable weather.
Extended forecast: Warmth continues through next week
Do not expect this warmth to go anywhere soon. Daily highs will remain in the lower- to mid-80s through next week. Overnight lows will also be comfortable. Nighttime temps will drop into the mid- to upper-50s, which is great for leaving the windows slightly open.
Enjoy the string of great weather while it lasts. If you capture any special moments at the game or anywhere in Southeast Michigan or Southwestern Ontario, share your photos with Local 4 using MIPics!
