4Warn Weather – A thick blanket of snow has covered Metro Detroit, prompting numerous delays and difficult road conditions.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for all of Southeast Lower Michigan until 10 p.m. Sanilac County is also under an advisory until 10 a.m. Thursday due to continuing Lake Effect Snow.

High winds are also reducing visibility, further slowing the evening commute.

Lows Wednesday night drop into the single digits, with wind chills below zero by Thursday morning.

Thursday

Skies will slowly clear on Thursday with highs around 22 degrees.

Windchill remains in the single digits.

Friday

Another chance for snow Friday with highs briefly returning to normal in the low 30s.

Weekend forecast

Several clipper systems bring us a chance for snow from Friday through Sunday.

Next week, we head into the deep freeze, with highs in the teens and lows near zero.
