Snow winds down in SE Michigan, bitter cold and wind chills follow midweek

4Warn Weather – Scattered snow is winding down across Southeast Michigan this evening.

Many saw sunshine at times during the afternoon, and some had a beautiful sunset!

This was the view around 6 p.m. in downtown Detroit.

You can see the clouds toward the horizon; this is what we saw throughout the afternoon.

At times, we had brighter skies, and at other times, snow was falling, reducing visibility and keeping roads slick.

Wednesday

The late-night hours will be partly cloudy, then clouds will start to move back in on Wednesday morning.

Overnight lows will be near 0° with wind chills around -10°.

We’ll see some sun through the clouds with scattered light snow possible again on Wednesday.

Just like today, any accumulations will be light.

Highs on Wednesday will be in the mid-teens with wind chills near 0° through the afternoon.

Thursday/Friday

Thursday and Friday will feature more sunshine but remain very cold.

Next week

Highs in the 20s don’t return to the forecast until Monday and Tuesday.
