After plenty of sunshine and frigid temperatures to start the weekend, we will keep some sunshine around through the end of the weekend on Sunday, before more cloud cover works under the region looking ahead into the start of next week.

Most of the region is starting off into the single digits on Sunday morning, with some places just below zero for air temperatures.

And with some of that sunshine, we will warm things up into the upper teens and lower 20s by Sunday afternoon.

Expect more cloud coverage to roll in with the region Sunday night, and into the start of next week on Monday.

Monday afternoon and Monday evening, we may have a few snowflakes or a brief wintry mix, but most of the region looks to stay dry to start next week.

The cloud cover sticks around, looking ahead into Tuesday, but we will watch a cold front roll through the region by the time we get from Tuesday afternoon to Tuesday evening.

High temperatures go above freezing for the first time and at least a few days by Tuesday afternoon.

High temperatures are expected to reach the upper 30s to near 40° by Tuesday afternoon.

Once that cold front rolls through, temperatures will drop into the lower 30s by Wednesday and into the upper 20s by Thursday.

Sunshine returns to the forecast for the second half of next week and the start of next weekend.

Partly cloudy skies can be expected Thursday through the end of the week and start of next weekend.

High temperature is warming back up into the low 30s, right around the freezing mark by the time we get to Friday, and into Valentine’s Day by Saturday.
