More snow this week for Metro Detroit: What we’re tracking

An active weather pattern will bring more snow chances to Southeast Michigan this week

Radar at 7:30pm Sunday (WDIV)

4Warn Weather - Snow showers are continuing to move across the state this evening.

Radar at 7:30pm Sunday (WDIV)

24-hour accumulations will be between one and two inches for most neighborhoods in Metro Detroit with isolated higher amounts possible. Snow will wind down late tonight transitioning to scattered lake effect flurries.

You might see a few flakes every now and then but Monday will generally be a dry day.

Forecasted satellite and radar for 3pm Monday (WDIV)

High temperatures Monday will be around 30° but it will feel like the teens thanks to a breezy north-northwest wind.

Tuesday morning will be cold but dry before snow arrives in the afternoon and evening.

Forecasted satellite and radar for 7pm Tuesday (WDIV)

A clipper system moving through the region will bring Southeast Michigan light accumulations with one to three inches expected Tuesday. High temps Tuesday will be mainly in the lower 30s.

Wednesday we could see lingering scattered snow and wintry mix as northwest winds resume.

We’re then keeping our eye on Thursday for another potential round of accumulating snow. A low pressure system is forecasted to move through the Ohio Valley. Any shifts north/south with this system can quickly change what and how much we see. The 4Warn Weather Team currently has a chance for light snow Thursday but this could change over the next few days.

We then look to finish out the week with some sun and highs in the 40s.
