After lots of sunshine for some of us to end the week, with high temperatures soaring above the 70° mark, we will keep some sunshine in the forecast to start the weekend, before rain showers return by the end of the weekend on Sunday.

We’re starting off our Saturday with some cloud cover across the region, but expect it to break up a bit, allowing filtered sunshine throughout the day. High temperatures will be running colder as we start the weekend on Saturday. Expect them to warm into the 50s by Saturday afternoon.

We will keep some clouds in the forecast overnight, and it will be another chilly night. Expect overnight lows to drop into the lower 40s tonight and early on Sunday morning.

Our next chance of rain rolls into the region by the end of the weekend on Sunday. We’re going to watch another cold front roll through the region throughout the day. And that will bring scattered rain showers for most of us. There is a chance for an isolated thunderstorm or two, especially for metro Detroit south to the state line. Most places will just see rain throughout the day, but as that cold front moves through, there will be a little bit of elevated instability, and we may have an isolated thunderstorm. High temperature is warming into the upper 50s to near 60° by Sunday afternoon.

Once the cold front moves through late Sunday night, we will bring some sunshine back into the forecast to start next week. The temperature will be cooler to start the week, thanks to the cold front moving through on Sunday. High temperature is warming into the mid-40s by Monday afternoon, and we will warm back into the 50s by the time we get to Tuesday.

Cloud cover will increase, looking ahead into the middle of next week on Wednesday. Mostly cloudy skies can be expected with high temperatures remaining in the 50s by Wednesday afternoon.

Our next chance of rain rolls into the region by the time we get to Thursday. Expect a chance of rain showers throughout the day, and high temperatures warming in the lower 60s by Thursday afternoon, before colder changes move in by the end of next week on Friday. High temperature is dropping back into the middle 40s by Friday afternoon.
