Drier weather with breezy winds stick around Metro Detroit on Thursday

More sunshine moves into the forecast looking ahead into the end of the week on Friday

After showers and thunderstorms with some heavy rainfall for some of us overnight last night into early this morning, we will bring drier weather into the forecast, but keep the cool temperatures around looking ahead into our Thursday.

Expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds throughout the day, temperatures will remain cool into the afternoon. High temperatures warming only into the low 70s, which is about 10° below where we should be for this time in mid June.

The winds will be breezy as we work throughout the day behind the low pressure system that moved through overnight last night early this morning. Expect winds to gust upwards of 35 to possibly 45 miles an hour for much of the day.

Any cloud cover will clear out overnight tonight, expect mainly clear skies overnight and early on Friday morning. It will be very comfortable, as overnight Lowe’s drop into the 50s for everybody.

Expect plenty of sunshine looking ahead into the end of the week on Friday. Temperatures getting a few degrees warmer, warming into the mid 70s by Friday afternoon.

We will bring a little more cloud cover into the forecast to start the weekend on Saturday, but we should remain dry for most of the day. I am going to bring in the chance of a stray shower looking ahead into Saturday, but I think better chances for rain move in looking ahead into the end of the weekend on Sunday. High temperatures remaining into the mid upper 70s for the start of the weekend on Saturday.

Chances for showers and thunderstorms return to the forecast, looking ahead into the end of the weekend on Sunday. Temperatures still remaining below average, expect high temperatures to warm into the mid upper 70s by Sunday afternoon.

We will keep a few showers into the forecast, looking ahead into the start of next week on Monday, but those should be primarily in the morning. Outside of that expected mixture of sunshine and clouds, and the weather looks to dry out just in time for the Ford Fireworks on Monday night. High temperatures remaining into the mid upper 70s by Monday afternoon.
