Forecast Update: Back To Work, Warming This Week
Good Monday morning! We are off to a mild start with temps in the lower 30s under mostly cloudy skies and some icy spots where we’ve had some melt refreezing. This is not a major problem this morning, but be careful on bridges and overpasses. No wet weather today as morning clouds thin out leaving us partly cloudy through most of the day with highs in the low to maybe mid 40s and lighter winds NE/SE 5-10 mph so wind chill is also not a big deal today. Clouds do move back in tonight and there is a little bit of moisture with these clouds heading into your Tuesday.
Some spotty wintry mix is expected overnight into early Tuesday with morning lows closer to freezing, but the showers will be light and hit or miss. Skies remain mostly cloudy most of the day with an occasional bit of drizzle or a few flakes flying here and there. Highs tomorrow will again be in the lower 40s with less sunshine and light winds still SW 5-10 mph. Wednesday will be a mostly cloudy, but mostly dry day with highs in the mid to upper 40s.
Rain moves in Thursday as morning temps in the mid 30s warm to near 50°F or warmer. The rain will be with us most of the day and this should completely take care of any snowpack still on the ground near you. The rain will linger into Friday morning but it will not be wet all day Friday. Temps start to tumble Friday back down through the 40s and ending in the upper 30s by the end of the day. The weekend looks cool in the 20s early and near 40°F both weekend days. We may see a little wintry mix Saturday but it’s a bit early to tell. We’ll keep you posted all week.
