Look for birds at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens Nov. 9 in Ann Arbor

Take a hike in one of Ann Arbor’s birding hotspots with the Washtenaw Audubon Society

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – On Nov. 9, Ann Arborites are encouraged to join the Weekend Walk for Birds at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens.

Hosted by the Washtenaw Audubon Society, the early morning walk will begin at 8 a.m. and end around 11 a.m.

Hikers wanting to take in the scenery of the gardens are encouraged to bring their binoculars so as to potentially spot one of the 173 species of birds recorded in the region this year.

Those interested can join the Washtenaw Audubon Society in front of the gift shop before the beginning of the walk.

While there is no fee for entering the garden, parking does cost $1.80 per hour, with a maximum limit of $5.
