Ann Arbor schools closed Friday due to icy road conditions

ANN ARBOR – Ann Arbor Public Schools will be closed on Friday due to icy road conditions in the area.

The district sent out communications of the closure to the community early Friday morning.

“The closure decision is based on ensuring the safety of our AAPS students and staff,” reads a statement from AAPS. “Icy road conditions exist at this time on many neighborhood and secondary roads in the AAPS area following precipitation overnight.”

Additionally, all buildings will be closed and all after school activities have been canceled for the day.
