Ann Arbor Public Schools announced that all athletic events for Wednesday would be canceled, though it will have a remote virtual learning day rather than cancelling classes. The Ann Arbor area is currently in a winter storm watch, along with the Detroit area. EAST LANSING – Michigan State is joining the growing number of schools that will require proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to attend an indoor sporting event on its campus. Beginning with a Wednesday home men’s basketball game against Nebraska, Michigan State will require any attendees age 12 and up to show a COVID-19 vaccination card (or a digital image of the card) along with a photo ID to attend an indoor sporting event. Attendees can also show proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event.
