New court documents detail allegations against former Michigan Wolverines head coach Sherrone Moore

Moore faces charges of third-degree home invasion, stalking, and breaking and entering

ANN ARBOR, Mich – Newly released documents, known as a “swear-to,” detail allegations in the criminal case involving former Michigan Wolverines head coach Sherrone Moore.

Moore admitted the relationship at the center of the case had been ongoing for about two years, according to testimony.

The case has drawn national attention.

Moore faces charges of third-degree home invasion, stalking, and breaking and entering.

He was arrested after a confrontation inside a Pittsfield Township apartment involving a woman he had been in a relationship with, according to Detective Jessica Welker of the Pittsfield Police Department.

Welker testified that attorney Heidi Sharp called police after her client reported Moore was inside her home, attacking her.

Sharp told police that Moore had been stalking her client for months and had a long history of domestic violence against her.

The woman said Moore armed himself with knives, pointed them at her and himself, said, “You ruined my life,” and threatened to kill himself while she watched.

This confrontation occurred after the woman filed a report at the University of Michigan and planned to leave town.

Welker said the woman admitted to having an intimate relationship with Moore but tried to end it, describing that night as the most terrifying moment of her life.

Moore admitted to picking up the knives and threatening suicide, but denied physically assaulting or threatening the woman with weapons.

Moore is scheduled to appear in court in person on Jan. 22 at 9 a.m.

He was released on a $25,000 bond last Friday.

Moore’s attorney, Joseph Simon, was unavailable for comment; his office cited court obligations.
