Madison Heights police find missing 6-year-old boy inside unlocked home He was reported missing Sunday afternoon
MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. – Madison Heights police said they found the 6-year-old boy who went missing Sunday afternoon.
The boy was last seen around 3:30 p.m. Feb. 1, 2026, in the 28000 block of Hales Street. That’s just southwest of 12 Mile and Dequindre roads.
Police said the boy wandered into a nearby unlocked home. The family who lives there wasn’t at the home at the time.
When the family returned late Sunday night, they found the boy taking a shower and called police.
The boy was taken to the hospital for a checkup.
