Men work to clean up abandoned homes near schools

DETROIT – Volunteers are teaming up to help make Detroit neighborhoods safer, and Help Me Hank took a closer look at how they operate.

The group's goal is to target dangerous abandoned homes near schools to get them boarded up and secure.

The men volunteer their own time and spend their own money to buy equipment to clean up the city.

Local 4 consumer investigator Hank Winchester took a firsthand look at how the group is making a difference.
