Detroit Youth Choir faces highest stakes in 'America's Got Talent' finals

Group had less than week to prepare new routine after semifinals

LOS ANGELES – The Detroit Youth Choir will take the stage Tuesday in Hollywood for the finals of "America's Got Talent."

The children have wowed the judges and America every step of the way, but Tuesday night is time to leave everything on the stage in hopes of bringing the crown home to Detroit.

Choir members are busy with school work and rehearsals, but Local 4 spoke with some of the parents to get an idea on how everyone is handling the high stakes.

You can hear from the parents in Kimberly Gill's video above.

The group had less than a week to put together a brand-new performance, including vocals and choreography, so the celebration of the semifinals victory was short.

Voting opens at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Click here for our full guide on how to vote for Detroit Youth Choir.
