Compete in 3-Point contest and help raise money for Detroit Public Schools

Fahrenheit 313 is a sneaker store in Detroit. The shop has kept sneaker culture alive since opening in March of 2020, and found a way to celebrate sports and sneakers while also celebrating Juneteenth this month.

The store located on Livernois Ave. is focused on making this event focused on educating the youth about Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day; a holiday celebrating the emancipation of those who had been enslaved in the United States.

Fahrenheit 313 will be hosting the Summertime 3-Point Shootout event on June 19 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. To participate you pay $10 for 17 shots in one minute with five money ball chances. Part of the proceeds will be donated to Detroit Public Schools.

Frederick Paul II. owner of Fahrenheit 313, says he knows that sneakers and sports are the way to draw in the youth.

The Detroit Pistons are donating basketballs for the event along with autographed prizes.
