Meet Jessica Care Moore’s band ‘We Are Scorpio’

Jessica Care Moore is a well known poet, the woman behind “Black Women Rock”, and an author, but did you know she also rocks herself? This multi-talented, multi-faceted Detroiter has a new album coming later this year, but she gave “Live In The D” a preview of what they can expect.

Moore said, “I have a rock project called ‘We Are Scorpio’ with Stephanie Christ’ian. I’ve done records. She’s done records. We wanted to record something together.”

Moore talked about writing the record during the COVID pandemic with the intention of having Christ’ian singing the songs. The two joined together in the studio to share the song “Supa Dupa Star” off the upcoming album. Click the video above to hear them perform.
