Hear a new song all about Detroit

They are a group that has been playing in and around Detroit for more than 20 years. They are The Sax Maniacs and they appeared on “Live In The D” ahead of their performance at the New Baltimore Blues Festival. Band leader David Danielle spoke with host Tati Amare and shared what the group loves most about performing.

“I think that’s a key to our success locally is that we’ve been around a long time,” said Danielle. “We really bring to festivals the kind of music crowds really like.”

This Saturday they will perform at the inaugural New Baltimore Blues Festival. The event benefits AMVETS Post 52. Seven bands will perform and it all wraps up with a jam session from 10 p.m. to 10:30 p.m..

On “Live In The D”, the band performed their song “The New One Back In Detroit” which Danielle described as a Detroit anthem.
