Believe it or not we are just a couple weeks away from the holidays. If you are not yet in the spirit, here’s a list of a few events to help get you there.
First up, the Holly Dazzle returns. The event features several magical holiday attractions like sparkling lights, kids crafts, cookie making, and a 40 foot illuminated walkthrough tree. The Holly Dazzle express will also take guests through a glowing landscape of holiday lights. The festival runs through New Years Eve, Fridays through Sundays at the Michigan Renaissance Festival Grounds in Holly.
Next, take a drive through downtown Highland and check out the festive décor. The annual Festival of Trees have kicked off. Visitors can enjoy a dazzling array of lights, ornaments, and holiday cheer as downtown Highland is transformed info a festive winter wonderland. The fest runs through December 31.
The city of Southfield is holding their annual Soulful Santa celebration. The event will feature live entertainment, holiday karaoke, kids activities, including pictures with Santa, face painting, and more. It’s all happening Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Southfield Civic Center.
Finally, to a celebration of Kwanza, Hanukkah, and Christmas. The Winterfest Multicultural Holiday Celebration at Palmer Park will offer house and carriage rides, cookies and cocoa, arts and crafts, multicultural displays, celebrations and educational activities. The event is Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the historic Palmer Park Log Cabin in Detroit.
