A Grosse Pointe Farms estate sale hosted by Stefek Auctioneers and Appraisers has gone viral on social media ahead of its opening, drawing collectors, designers, and bargain hunters to what promises to be a standout collection of antiques and one-of-a-kind pieces.
Lori Stefek, owner of the full-service auction and appraisal firm, and marketing director Naomi Harani appeared on Live in the D to discuss the event and the broader resale boom fueling its buzz.
Market research indicates secondhand and vintage goods are on track to surpass traditional retail by 2027, a trend Stefek says is reflected in the growing crowds - particularly younger shoppers - showing up to her sales in search of items with character and history.
In addition to the Grosse Pointe estate sale on May 1st and 2nd, Stefek Auctioneers has upcoming charity auctions benefiting the Children’s Foundation and Crystal Ray Schools, a warehouse sale, and a fine goods auction scheduled for June 3rd.
