Dine in the D: $12 million renovation revives historic Birmingham restaurant

Four distinct dining rooms offer unique experiences for guests

Birmingham – A $12 million renovation completely transformed a historic Birmingham restaurant. With the renovations, the dining experience at “Big Rock Italian Chophouse” has been elevated but still honors the building’s past.

“The Eton Station room, that room is off to the side, kind of reminds me of a train car, so this was a train station, so kind of like looking into that part of it and making that like a cute little cozy, like, train car box,” said General Manager Tiffany Hull. She said if people remember the previous design of how the restaurant once looked, they’ll be surprised by the new design.

“When people walk in, they’re just wowed by the atmosphere and how things have completely drastically changed, we have 4 beautiful dining rooms for our guests to enjoy. There’s different scenery in each dining room.”
