Shooting investigation at Eastland Mall

Police say there are no known victims

HARPER WOODS, Mich. – An investigation is underway after three or four gunshots were fired inside Eastland Mall in Harper Woods over the weekend.

There are no known victims in the incident. One bullet hit a glass storefront window.

The mall was closed early Sunday following the incident.

Police say besides witnesses to the incident, everyone has been cleared out of the area, so the mall was not on lockdown.

Three men were near door seven of the mall when one of them pulled out a handgun and fired three shots inside the mall, authorities said.

The suspects fled the scene in what was believed to be a grey Range Rover. Police are investigating, but don't have anyone in custody.

The shooting happened at around 12:40 p.m.
