Detroit police seek gunman wanted for deadly gas station shooting

Police say man shot, killed person inside BP station at Grand River, W Grand Boulevard

DETROIT – Detroit police are looking for a man who, police say, fatally shot another person Tuesday afternoon at the BP gas station at Grand River Avenue and West Grand Boulevard.

The man confronted the victim inside the gas station where he fired several shots, striking the 25-year-old man's body. The gunman fled the station in an unknown direction.

Police hope a surveillance image from inside the gas station will help track down this killer. Police have identified the suspect as 35-year-old Timothy Wright.

Black man in his 30s standing about 5 feet 9 inches and weighing about 150 pounds. He has a medium complexion and tattoos on both arms. He goes by the street name "Sonny."
