A fire broke out on the roof of a Ford truck plant in Dearborn, Thursday afternoon, a spokesperson said.
Employees in the final assembly area were quickly evacuated but returned to work approximately 30 minutes later.
Ford spokesperson Kelli Felker released this statement regarding the incident:
"No one was injured when a fire broke out on the roof of Dearborn Truck Plant around 5:40 p.m. Employees in the final assembly area were quickly evacuated and returned to work approximately 30 minutes later. The cause of the fire is under investigation. "
The fire was contained by Ford employees before crews arrived on scene.
