DETROIT – A 50-year-old Detroit woman was charged Thursday in connection with the stabbing and robbery of a 90-year-old man on the city's east side.

Betty Mae Clark is accused of robbing and assaulting the 90-year-old man in his home.

Police said Clark was in the man's home at 2:22 p.m. Saturday when she stabbed him multiple times and robbed him.

The 90-year-old man was taken to a hospital with non-fatal injuries.

Police reported over the weekend that the dining room and kitchen area were bloody.

Police said the man lives alone, the home was not ransacked and there was no forced entry.

Clark is charged with assault with intent to murder, two counts of felonious assault, armed robbery and larceny in a building.

A probable-cause conference is scheduled for March 23 and a preliminary examination is scheduled for March 29.
