DETROIT – Police are searching for the person who shot a 9-year-old boy in the head this past weekend on Detroit's west side.
Malik Cosey and two other children were sitting inside a car when he was shot Saturday in the 15000 block of Murray Hill Street, near Keller Street. The kids were waiting to go to the movies with their grandmother.

Cosey was hit in the head. He is in stable condition. The other two kids were not injured.
Police are looking for a silver or gray Dodge Magnum with tinted windows. They believe this vehicle was involved in the shooting.
A peace walk is planned for Friday in honor of Cosey.
