Lockdown ends at Loyola High School in Detroit after shooting

Students released just after 4 p.m.

DETROIT – Loyola High School on Detroit's west side was on lockdown Tuesday after a shooting in the area, police said.

The school usually dismisses at 4 p.m., but school officials were unsure when the students would be released. The lockdown was eventually lifted just after 4 p.m.

The school is on Pinehurst Street between Keeler Street and Kenkell Avenue.
