Police officers deliver baby in vehicle at Van Buren Township gas station No description found
VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Two police officers delivered a baby early Saturday at a Van Buren Township gas station.
Officer Mike Rini and Sgt. Mark Abdilla delivered a baby boy at 1:24 a.m. at a BP gas station on Haggerty Road near the I-94 Service Drive.

The men delivered the baby before medical personnel arrived. Police said Abdilla is a cross-trained officer.
The mother was sitting in the passenger seat of her vehicle while the baby was delivered. She and the baby were transported to the University of Michigan Hospital, where police said they are “healthy and great.”
