CRASH VIDEO: Russian plane slams into van while trying to take off on highway

A plane collided with a van while attempting to take off on a highway in Chechnya, Russia on Monday. The crash was captured on video.

The footage shows the plane traveling down the highway as cars drive past. The cars swerve out of the way to avoid the oncoming plane. The plane gets barely off the ground as it slams into a parked van. A person is seen near the van trying to get away from the crash.

The pilot suffered only minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. The person near the van was not injured.

It is not known why the plane was trying to take off from the road.
