The Local 4Casters are expecting a hot day today with the heat index near 95°. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening.
Summer is not messing around right now. Temperatures will be in the high 80s this week, and it will likely feel even hotter with the humidity. We might all want some rain at some point to cool things down!

The pesky I-75 construction is continuing with overnight closures tonight and Tuesday night between Big Beaver Road and Corporate Drive/Crooks Road.
Here is MDOT's suggested detour:
During the full closures, northbound traffic will use Big Beaver Road to Crooks Road, then westbound M-59 back to northbound I-75. Southbound drivers will use Corporate Drive/Crooks Road then 14 Mile Road back to southbound I-75.

In case you missed the report last week, we took a closer look at the state's most dangerous roundabouts. Turns out a lot of them are in Oakland County. There were 144 crashes last year alone at Orchard Lake Road at 14 Mile Road in Farmington Hills/West Bloomfield.
Boeing B-29 Superfortress FIFI is coming 🛩️
This will be a sight to see! The Boeing B-29 Superfortress, FIFI, is scheduel to land at noon today at Oakland County International Airport. Since 1974, FIFI has been traveling coast to coast each year honoring the men and women who built, maintained and flew WWII aircraft.
Emmanuel Timothy Vaughn was found guilty of assault with a dangerous weapon in the attack on Dr. Melfin Hoberman. The doctor was exiting his office at the end of the workday to go to his car when he was attacked in what is believed to be a robbery attempt. Vaughn was later arrested and charged.
This heartbreaking case will be in court today for a prelminary hearing. Decarious Terrell Davis-O’Neal, of Detroit, is accused of losing control of his vehicle, striking the boy and killing him June 12 on Helen Street near Robinwood Street.
Wimbledon is this week 🎾
The first round of Wimbledon is today and tomorrow. Novak Djokovic leads the men's singles at No. 1 while Ashleigh Barty is atop the ladies' singles ranks. The tournament runs through Sunday, July 14.
