Flat Rock residents experience flooding after storms move through Metro Detroit

FLAT ROCK, Mich. – Whether it's 70 mph winds causing the sirens to go off in Oakland County or serious downpours that have left floods in their wake, storms have been felt all across Metro Detroit.

It has been a rain-soaked night Downriver with Flat Rock getting downpours that overwhelmed drains and flooded subdivisions and main roads.

The water got high fast, forming individual pockets of deep pools, which made it hard to travel.
