3 wanted in connection with carjacking at gas station on Plymouth in Detroit

Surveillance footage captures scene of carjacking

DETROIT – Police are searching for three people wanted in connection with a carjacking that happened on the city's west side.

On Sept. 28 at 2:55 a.m., in the 13500 block of Plymouth Road in Detroit, the first carjacker entered the parking lot of a gas station driving a silver Ford Taurus, police say. 

On surveillance video, all three carjackers can be seen waiting inside the vehicle for the victims to exit the gas station.

 

Once the victims exited the gas station, the carjackers exited their vehicle and demanded the victims' property at gunpoint, police say. 

Surveillance footage shows the three carjackers search both victims and take their personal belongings along with a 2018 black Nissan.

The first carjacker is described by police as a heavyset black male around 6 feet, 3 inches tall, weighing 280 pounds. 

Police described the second carjacker as being a male, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, with an average build, wearing a hooded sweater and blue jeans.

The third carjacker is described by police as being a male, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, with an average build, wearing a hooded windbreaker and light-colored blue jeans.
