Driver allegedly live streams police chase and crash in Detroit

DETROIT – Two Detroit police officers were involved in a crash on the city’s east side early Friday morning.

Two Detroit police officers were involved in a crash Nov. 8, 2019.

The driver of a red pickup truck hit a patrol car in the area of East Jefferson Avenue and Eastlawn Street. Police said the driver allegedly used Facebook to live stream the police chase and crash.

UPDATE: Driver in custody after live streaming police chase, crash in Metro Detroit

Two officers were taken to the hospital. Their conditions are not known at this time.

The suspect was taken into police custody.
