Man accused of armed robberies at 3 businesses along 11 Mile in Madison Heights

MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. – A man is facing the possibility of life in prison after being arrested in connection with armed robberies at three businesses along 11 Mile Road in Madison Heights, police said.

Scott Davis is accused of robbing the 7-Eleven, Cottage Inn Pizza and Mobil gas station on 11 Mile Road, officials said.

Police said Davis lives in the area and is currently in custody.

He is charged with three counts of armed robbery. Each count carries a maximum possible penalty of up to life in prison.

Davis was arraigned Wednesday in 43rd District Court. He is being held in lieu of $300,000 bail.

Gas station robbery

Davis is accused of robbing the Mobil gas station at 404 West 11 Mile Road at 5:27 a.m. Nov. 6, police said.

A 19-year-old gas station clerk told officers a man with a knife jumped over the counter and demanded money. Police believe the man was Davis.

Davis took the cash drawer from the register and fled on foot, according to authorities.

Cottage Inn robbery

Madison Heights police officers were called at 12:29 p.m. Saturday to the Cottage Inn at 505 West 11 Mile Road, authorities said.

The 22-year-old employee told police a man armed with a knife walked into the business and demanded money from the register. Police believe the man was Davis.

Davis forced the clerk to open the register at knife point, officials said. He took cash and fled on foot, according to authorities.
