Fire crews rescue cat from Eastpointe house fire

‘Eight lives left,’ Eastpoint officials say

EASTPOINTE – A cat was rescued from a house fire Wednesday afternoon in Eastpointe.

According to authorities, fire crews from Eastpointe, Roseville and St. Clair Shores battled the house fire located near the intersection of Rosalind and Norton avenues.

A fire fighter was able to rescue a cat from the home. The cat was given oxygen at the scene and is expected to be okay.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
