No more lying about age with Instagram.

From now on, the social media app will ask new users for their actual date of birth. In the past, users were required to confirm they were 13 or older, but did not have to provide an exact birthday.

Instagram says it’s making the change to help keep young people safer and better connected to age-appropriate content.
