Woman arrested in hit-and-run crash that killed 2 on Detroit’s west side this weekend, police say
A 30-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed two women this weekend on Detroit’s west side, police said.
The crash happened just before 2 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 16) on Schaefer Highway, south of Fenkell Avenue, according to Detroit police.
Officials said Erica Yancey, 38, and her sister-in-law, Brittany Jones, who was in her 20s, were crossing Schaefer Highway on their way home from a banquet hall.
