BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 42-year-old Bloomfield Township man was arrested after his girlfriend said he hit her with a billiard ball during an argument, police said.

Brian Rossiter was arrested after 1 a.m. Nov. 4 in the 600 block of Windsor Run, police said.

Rossiter's girlfriend told police that he threw a billiard ball at her during an argument and pushed her against some shelves. She said the ball hit her in the back.

Rossiter was drunk when police arrested him for domestic assault, officials said.

He was kept at the police station until he was sober.

The Oakland County Prosecutor's Office issued a one-count warrant for domestic assault.

Rossiter was arraigned and is being held on $3,000 bail. He is scheduled to return to court Nov. 16.
