Little Caesars Arena ribbon cutting, opening ceremony is today

DETROIT – It's a moment that is a little less than three years in the making. 

On Tuesday, Olympia Entertainment is set to hold the ribbon cutting and opening ceremony for the brand new Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.

The ceremony is expected to get underway just after 11 a.m. in Chevrolet Plaza located between the arena and the new Little Caesars Arena garage.

Christopher Ilitch (president and CEO of Ilitch Holdings), Detroit Pistons owner Tom Gores, Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan and Michigan Governor Rick Snyder are all expected to be in attendance to get a first glimpse at the finished arena.

Local 4 legend Carmen Harlan will serve as emcee of the festivities.

The ceremony is not open to the public, but will be live streamed here.
