A Frontier Airlines flight scheduled to travel from Houston to Detroit was delayed after a passenger made a verbal bomb threat while the aircraft was preparing to depart, the airline said.
Frontier Flight 1958 was preparing to push away from the gate at George Bush Intercontinental Airport for service to Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport on Thursday (Aug. 6) when the passenger made the threat, according to a statement from the airline.

As a precaution, passengers were removed from the aircraft while local and federal law enforcement agencies conducted a security sweep.
Authorities found no items of concern during the inspection, Frontier said.
Passengers were being accommodated on another flight later Thursday evening, according to the airline.
Authorities are still investigating the incident. No additional details about the passenger involved or possible charges were immediately released.

As a matter of precaution and in coordination with local and federal authorities, passengers were deplaned and law enforcement conducted a security sweep of the aircraft.
Law enforcement found nothing of concern, and passengers are being reaccommodated on a flight later this evening.”
