Michigan may add non-binary option to licenses

LANSING, Mich. – Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson is considering adding a non-binary option to licenses.

If Benson decides on the third gender option, it is unknown yet if the Legislature would be to approve the addition.

More than a dozen states currently have added a gender neutral "X" in addition to “male” and “female."
