15-year-old boy in critical condition after being hit by car in Warren, police say Officials continue to investigate

WARREN, Mich. – A 15-year-old boy is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Warren , police said.
The incident happened Tuesday morning (Feb. 1) in the are of 9 Mile and Van Dyke roads, according to authorities .
The boy was running east across Van Dyke when a Dodge Journey struck him, officials said. The driver of the Journey stopped at the scene, police said.
Drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash, according to officials.
Police continue to investigate.
