A four-vehicle crash involving a diesel tanker truck that closed I-75 in Oakland County on Tuesday has been cleared as of Wednesday morning.

A crash has caused the closure of the northbound lanes of I-75 at 9 Mile Road in Oakland County.

EASTPOINTE, Mich. – Officers discovered a woman who is believed to have been held against her will. Eastpointe police officers were dispatched to a residence on 9 Mile Road and Dale Avenue on Monday at 2:30 p.m. for a welfare check. When they arrived it was discovered that a woman was being held against her will by an unknown person, police said. Thirty minutes after making contact with the woman, she fled her residence and went to officers. The man was taken into custody and transported to the Eastpointe Police Department.

ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. – Police said the driver suspected of hitting and killing a Macomb County road worker has turned himself in to police. Zach Morisette was working along I-94 near 9 Mile Road when he was hit by the driver of a white box truck. He was working with a Macomb County Roads crew, putting down a patch to fix a broken man hole cover. EASTPOINTE, Mich. – A man riding a motorcycle was struck and killed by gunfire in a drive-by shooting in Eastpointe on Monday evening. Police said the man was shot around 7:30 p.m. on Linwood Avenue near 9 Mile Road when someone opened fire from an SUV and then sped away from the scene. FERNDALE, Mich. No one was injured in a drive-by shooting Wednesday morning near East Nine Mile Road and Almont Street, Ferndale Police Department officials said. Police responded to the scene at about 2:29 a.m. A preliminary investigation indicated the suspect fired multiple shots at a home occupied by two women and a 15-year-old girl. The suspect then left the area in an unknown vehicle. This is an ongoing investigation.

Police said the man entered the store at 18040 9 Mile Road at 9:15 a.m. He told the cashier he had a gun and kept his hand in his pocket as he demanded cash, police said. When the cashier handed the man money, he fled in an unknown direction. He was wearing a zip-up black hoodie, black pants, black shoes and dark-colored glasses.
