MT. CLEMENS, Mich. – A Macomb County man was caught sharing sexually explicit photos of children ages 2-13 on social media, according to authorities.

Officials received a tip in May 2022 about sexually abusive images of children being sent over social media. When they investigated, authorities said they found multiple files showing nude children ages between the ages of 2 years old and 13 years old.

Police said the children in most of the photos were engaged in sexual activity with men.

Cameron Kalbfleisch, 21, of Mt. Clemens, was identified as a suspect. He was taken into custody Aug. 4 outside his home.

Several cellphones and other electronic devices were taken from his home during a search.

Kalbfleisch was in legal possession of a handgun at the time of his arrest, police said. The weapon was turned over to family members at the scene.

Macomb County prosecutors charged Kalbfleisch with three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and three counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

He was arraigned Aug. 29 at 41-B District Court in Clinton Township and given a $25,000 personal bond. He can’t use a computer, the internet, or social media, if released.

A probable cause conference is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Nov. 7.
