Police: Brother shoots, kills sister over business dispute in Sterling Heights

Both pulled guns in shooting, police say

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – A man shot and killed his sister over a business dispute on Friday morning in Sterling Heights, according to police.

Sterling Heights police said they were called to the 6000 block of 19 Mile Road for a shooting on Friday (May 26) around 9 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers found a 54-year-old woman from Macomb with gunshot wounds. She was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to police.

The alleged shooter, who has not been identified, remained on the scene and was being interviewed by detectives.

Police said the shooting happened between a brother and sister over a business dispute, where both subjects pulled guns out on each other and started shooting. The man was not injured.
